OHM Speakers

Currently have a pair of OW3's upgraded with 3000 series drivers and a pair of Micro-Walsh Talls in an omni-version. The 3/3000's are my main speakers, listening to them right now.

Would love to find a pair of the "real-deal" Ohm F's someday! Always on the hunt for any of the older cabinet models though, big Ohm fan here too. Tim

Currently have a set of F's, G's and three sets of Walsh 4's

Check out OHMHENGE, my sickness!!

One pair of the Ohm Walsh 200 here. Mark II cabinets, Series 3 drivers. (Does that make them version 2.5?) The bass goes deeper than in the later, smaller cabinets.

This is a pair of OHM L's that I re-foamed earlier this summer. I have a new found respect for OHM based on my experience with the L's and will be re-foaming a pair of C2's sometime next month.
I couldn't find a style of music that I listen to that didn't sound good playing through them. I'll have to part with them soon though, I need to make room for the Next round of projects. If only I had more space... hmmm....

I have a pair of Ohm Walsh2 speakers - got them new and I suspect they're a pretty low SN.

When I was in college my friend Peter (who was an assistant manager at Tech Hi Fi and later went on to form Audio Alchemy) asked me what I had for a stereo. When he heard I had BIC Venturi's he said they had to go. He set me up with a pair of large Advents in the utility cabinets.

About a year later he called me and said my new speakers came in. "What new speakers?" I asked. Never mind, just come over to my place.
He had a pair of the Walsh2's that he was testing - sold them to me for his salesman's accommodation price - boxes and everything.
He had a pair of Beveridge speakers there which I think were his "keepers" hooked up to a TT with a Dennison airbearing tonearm.

C2's here. They were the first speakers I owned. My dad got them for me for Christmas in the early 80's. They have been in storage in the basement since I got my Frieds. This thread is making me think I need to pull them out and give them a spin again.

Very nice job done on those L's, Bostown.

I hope to own a pair of H's some day soon. You guys/gals sure have some nice Ohm's for sure.

Nice avatar. I have a set of frs-7's and frs-11's that need foam. Moving out the 7's as i won't need to use them once the 11's are re foamed.

I have a pair of Ohm C2s, my friend has a pair of Walsh 2s, and my favorite record store runs a pair of Ohm Model Is driven by some Threshold gear. Really awesome speakers, I hope to own some Walsh 3s one day.

A few months ago, I discovered that the loft building I live in was the old headquarters of Ohm until 1999, when the building was redeveloped as residential. In the article I read, there were over 60 different businesses in the complex and they all shared materials and resources. Ohm wasn't capable of producing the enclosures themselves, so they had a cabinetmaker in the building do the work for them.

(I actually bought my C2s from a guy living in a building across the street, small world!)

Walsh II here. Nice sound, and I'm a sucker for the Walsh look. Use for "background" music mainly in the living room. Would love to hear or own some of the bigger Walsh offerings.

Fs refreshed by The Circuit Shop, FRS-11 (shorter version of the FRS-15), two sets of Walsh 3s, one of which is using a Heil tweeter, two pairs of the original 1987 shortie Sound Cylinders.

I'd love to see a good photo of the Ohm G, a speaker apparently so rare that even Ohm doesn't have a decent photo to put up on their website.

UPDATE: from an online auction just ended:

The passives have a nonstandard (or missing) cap.
