And having the woofer up high diminishes the low end -- looks to me like it's -5dB at 55hz, which isn't very deep for such a large enclosure.

To say nothing of wierd polar response -- mid line array will give broad dispersion horizontally, but severe comb filtering and cancellation above the array, and the tweeters are going to present a very odd polar pattern. How the limited output of the mids at the tweeter level will integrate is hard to guess. I'd like to hear the speakers just to find out whether the theoretical problems have an actual effect.
