I own BMWs from every decade from the '50s to the 2000s. One-cylinder, two-cylinder, four-cylinder, and six-cylinder. Cars and bikes. Six of the cars are convertibles and they are from '50s, '60s, '70s, and '80s.

Purchased 1974: 1972 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS ( metallic green, brown leather with black top ) sold 1974
Purchased 1974: 1972 Porsche 911T Targa ( metallic green, black interior with black top ) traded 1977
Purchased 1980: 1977 Ferrari 308 GTS ( red, black leather ) sold 1980

I've had a 914... Had an e28 535i and a 944 as DDs... But I went modern last time and am currently driving an e92 335i. Hope to still have it when it's old :)

you could give away 930's for $20-$30k in the late 90s early 2000's. They are back up to list price and beyond. Now 993 TTs are fetching $150k
I've owned this since 1999

Here's my other old bus a 300e 24v, 23 years old this year. The above photo was just after I just bought and waxed it in 2006. Took it up to 280,000km and could not bear to trade in all that fine German engineering for $2,000.

It now sits in the carport ready for a retirement restoration job. Paint, muffler, head gasket, veneer, sunroof and rear screen all need attention.
