Have an AT300P P-mount 0.6 mil conical cart on a Technics SL-L3 linear tracker I got running. Looking for a recommend for an upgrade. Or could I upgrade the stylus?

I think you could upgrade the stylus if you can find one. The AT30e would fit I think. It's a nice one which I have on a Luxman table. It's rare...though I ended up with a supply. ;)

Check Barter Town. Someone there has an AT TR451U which would be an upgrade.

I checked my storage box. I do have an AT231LP, but it does have a slight bend.

I would recommend the ADC PSX series cartridges. It would give you a different sound than an AT cartridge and the RPSX 30 or 40 stylus would give you an upgraded stylus shape if you want that. There are many other options for P mount cartridges. You might look at the extensive thread on AK.

No genuine stylus support. ADC's also a defunct company.

The AT P mount body & stylus head look the same. Local record store has a ATN85EP stylus. Would that work with my 300P cart body?

Well, looked through my stack of TT's. Found a non-functioning SL-6 linear tracker with a with a P28 cart, (a Technics EPC-P28) swapped it over to the L3. Sounds pretty good. Not sure of the hrs, but I'll use it for a while.
