Papi Chulo's back!

That’s not how eBay works. If it’s not as described, the seller eats shipping both ways. It doesn’t matter what the listing says. If it says mint in the title, and it’s not, the seller can just kiss their money goodbye.

This might be a problem for an inexperienced buyer, but if you know what you’re doing then the seller is basically hopeless.

Around 8 years ago I bought a vintage receiver on ebay that arrived with a dead channel.
I had to look through the ebay terms and whatever but found a place on ebay where it said seller had to pay return shipping.
That was a long time ago though.

The original Papi Chili had a modus operandi. When it got too hot, he'd bail on that eBay seller account and immediately open up shop on a differently named eBay account which he had especially waiting on the sidelines for this moment.

Walk away from an account, have a collection of accounts to choose from, keep opening new accounts. Repeat.

He'd rather walk away from the people he ripped off because he could pick up immediately from where he left off. One might also be able to argue that the platform enabled his practices.

I wasn't commenting on "papi" I was responding to the posts about NAD claims and return shipping. You know, adding to the thread hijack.

In another interest of mine I see that all the time with trolls. They sometimes have multiple accounts, when one gets banned they use one of the others.
Of course there are also trolls who don't open a new account until their current one is banned.
Or they are outed/doxed.

NAD wouldn't bite Papi. He abandons the account, the customer and any obligations to honour eBay terms and conditions.

Henry Jean Louis.
He’s permanently banned just about everywhere by IP. I have personally chased him off of sites about 15 times, back a bit ago. Now he’s just gone.

Running them down when they use VPN's and throw away emails is tough. I mod a site and sometimes it's hard to keep them at bay even with the tools we have available. Ultimately, they tend to show their true nature and get reported/called out by the members. Most eventually give up and go find somewhere else easier to troll.

Anyway, whether it's Papi or not is for the buyer to decide, just calling em as I see em and it never hurts to resurrect this thread to keep folks on their toes. As @theophile posted, he take his stolen money, lay low then pop back up with a new account, along with fake positives, I suspect some of these were also stolen ebay accounts. At one point, he actually would ship some gear but it would arrive either broken or non functional. Not here to ponder or debate ebay rules or how he got away with it.

The one missing thing here is: not everyone is as smart about this tech stuff as you may be. This HJL character always used dead-giveaway user names, and advertised the same type of items. It took nothing to find him, I an always on the hunt for the same gear. So I would always cross his path whenever he was more active. The ads read the same, I mean his sentence structure was not modified, the constant caps lock use, I mean it was a “barrel, and he was in it” easy to spot. I think he just moved onto using other people or went on to something else. It has been a while since I’ve seen those ads. Maybe he’s selling socks and t-shirts now.
