I thought the same thing. What concerns me is that other photo sharing sites may follow suit.

I don't know how you can say that. Just like most photos they where on my computer first, then uploaded to PB, I edit the size and then used them here in avatars.Avatars are copied from your computer directly.
When I added my avatar image it was uploaded from my Mac, not PB.I don't know how you can say that. Just like most photos they where on my computer first, then uploaded to PB, I edit the size and then used them here in avatars.
Photos posted in comment boxes where on my computer first, then uploaded to PB, then posted here.
The only difference is I did some editing at PB, and they are not posted in comment boxes. Maybe there is some kind of block the site has that PB can't control. But I think if I delete my account it will delete the avatars.
The new AK software makes uploading images much easier than before, and we have always advocated loading to our own server, just so that this would not happen.
Many of us didn't do that, we would simply copy our URL address and leave our photos on PB domain and what you see when you are looking at a thread with pic's is the pics were filled in with information stored in PB's site.
JEEEZ this is sounding ugly, thanks for thhe heads up CBCheck your expiration date in your PB profile. At that point you will have to fork over $399 per year for third party linking otherwise your images will disappear from the sites you post on. I was also a paying subscriber and my expiration date is July 11th. I cancelled my subscription the other day in case they automatically drew the upgrade price of $399 from my Paypal account instead of the $30 or whatever it was.

Cool, thanks CB!My pleasure!
I have been using "Postimage" and it is faster than PB or Imgur you might like it.
I have it and don't see any way of doing that, but perhaps I'm not seeing something. Also, it's provided by my work, so there might be facilities that they've disabled and I don't have.Does anyone know if Adobe Creative Cloud Suite is capable of image hosting for posting on forums & such ?
