Still a work in progress, I've added an audio rack that my Dad built for a relative in the mid 60's that's been in storage since the early 70's.

Hi!
First post here. I´m currently going through an update phase (long overdue), so I spend time reading forums...

My current stereo is Tannoy MX3 speakers, a Marantz PM6003 amp and a NAD 515 cdplayer. The Marantz is new and not going anywhere, and speakers will also stay. Other than that, I have some bits and pieces, Rotel 920 ax amp (my previous one), NAD 314 amp, B&W DM601 speakers, Sony
CDP220 cd player (previous one, I think the NAD is a bit better), NAD 5120 LP player (will be a part of the system), D link media Center "thing" (used to work with the PC, but the pc just "died"), and lastly a Phillips dvd player. And a wireless network. I´m not sure what to do with this, but what I end up not using will go to my brother who is building a new house and need some more gear. My goal is a working media center (pc), and incorporate the LP player and a tuner.

btw I don´t sit in that angled chair while listening to music, I slouch on the sofa/divan.

I may be back for some "help" or "what next" questions..:-)

Most recent shots of the listening space. This is what happens when you live in 1040 sq ft, each space serves multiple functions. The small 15x14 living room is both the home theater and listening room for my main 2 channel system. Absent now is an analog source. I no longer have a turntable and haven't decided whether I will get one. I enjoy vinyl and have all of the accessories I just can't hack the pitch issues and other speed issues I've suffered with every table I've used. Also the Rega Saturn sounds better to my ears than any of the analog sources I've owned, couldn't say that about the Apollo which is a fine player.

The room is 14x14 carpet and sheetrock. Three dedicated 20A circuits with a separate ground. The cabinet came from some store going out of business. Not real concerned with pretty here since this is my space. The wife has her own. Empty nesting ain't ALL bad.

As you can tell, picher takin' ain't one of my hobbies.:D

First pic is just inside the doorway. The computer sits to the left as you come in.

Second pic in the desk that sits in front of the left speaker.

eta: those of you that noticed, relax. the hula girl is back on top of the amp where she belongs.
