Yeah, it's an external phono stage for my integrated as it doesn't have one built in. So far, no hum.
I've just recently hooked it back up after years only to meet with disappointment, however...the linear tracking system on my TT is not working smoothly and is snagging. Is there something that can be done for it or should I think about another turntable?

Thanks! Not twins but obviously 2 people with more speakers than they need. Not shown in the pics is the other 6 or 7 pairs of speakers sitting idle and a tableful of recievers and amps. Finally getting around to organizing things a bit made me really realize I have waaay too much gear.
There is a subtle difference between our set-ups though... those pics are of my garage set-up as opposed to the bedroom but if I keep going out and getting more gear my wife threatens that the garage will be where I will be sleeping.....

I have a couple of custom tube components coming - a phono stage and a SET 45 amp, so in preparation I decided to consolidate my SS gear to the short rack. To be fair, the Ah! cdp does have tube outputs.... Both cdp's have multiple outlets so I can use both with either system.
The Denon TT and the big Yammie cdp in the right hand rack are about to find new homes....

Well, I can say now, that on the floor, they sound 'delicious'.
The lows are solid and adequate without being boomy,
the midrange is very laid back without it being in your face,
and the highs are very wispy and delicate.
Basically what they should be. :thmbsp:
.... but, if you get 'em up off the floor, like I tried to do, the whole delicate nature of the beast just flies out the window. :nono:
Early days yet. I'll give it another go maybe next week, when I'm recovered from all the grief of this week.... :sigh:

Here is Neutron's 2 ch. vinyl only ( well almost ) system. It's my Denon DP-62L with DL-103R MC cart and TTWeights center weight, McIntosh C-39 pre, McIntosh MC-7200 amp, Cambridge 640P phono front end, iPod ( with lossless rips ), and my Carver AL-III's with modded internals and modded Infinity woofer replacing the OEM woofer.
Here is the view from my seating area. The room is doing double duty for the Christmas tree.
This is a shot of our upstairs gameroom:
And this one is downstairs in the family room. We just bought and moved into our new home this month so we are still in the process of buying furniture. But these 3 rooms are still very comfy, quiet, and sound great.
