WOW.. super nice gear... What is the very large box in the center the reel is sitting on. Is that a sub of some sort???

similost......that is a stereo sub....a big mutha.....but I really tone it down....otherwise the neighbors get cranky.....really though it delivers incredibly tight bass......kinda like sitting in a mega theater.....big...big...sound.:music:

I was just listening to that system yesterday, and hell yeah is it nice. I gotta admit, when I first saw his Thorens, I thought it was kind of old fashioned, but after listening to it, i realize why they command such pricey prices.. damn fine tables for sure...

You should have seen those Altec's when he got them.. UNREAL the transformation he gave them.. damn fine sounding!

Thanks James, that means a lot coming from you, the man with the killer system.

Well, this is hardly my "listening space", it's more of a "testing ground", however pmsummer asked that I cross post (the post) I left in the speaker section.
The attached pic if of the KEF C-55's I picked up today @ Goodwill. I enjoy setting equipment up in my garage, and I am certain my wife appreciates it. She doesn't share my taste for loud music. :D

Hi - Where did you get the record storage units?

BIG LOTS!!!!! $30 a rack($120 total). Makes one hell of a sturdy Rack for TT and tube gear. I've been back there, but havent seen one since. I should've got at least 4 spare racks, cuz I know I'll keep buying vinyl:thmbsp:

A pic of the middle system with the traveling Dared pre installed.

Pardon the dust.:smoke:
