Pilot 654 MA- opinions

Picked up this Pilot 654 MA, just wanted to get a few opinions. I've found some threads on the 654 but not the 654 MA. Found a brochure from 1962, shows the MA as a 60 watt amp.

Is there any difference between the 654 and the 654 MA ? Often the suffix was not really significant and might have indicated mounting or case options or something along those lines.

Yes, I also found a brochure from 1960 showing the earlier 654. Its listed as being a 44 watt amp compared to the 60 watts from the MA. Also, the glass on the earlier 654 doesn't have the MC on the right side

aha, I see. Looks like the older one was an AM/FM simulcast stereo unit where the later one is a proper FM stereo, no AM tuner.
