I have a friend who has a pioneer PL-512 TT and the cart is a 2600E/III

Is this a good cart?

You sure it's not an Empire 2000III and not a 2600?

I'm pretty sure the 2000 and 2600 are the same thing with different numbers printed on the bottom.

I have a Pioneer PL-530 and am using...well comparing an Empire AE1000 / 111. Honestly to even give fair advice I need a new stylus for it to see. Right now it sounds like doodoo compared to a cheap Stanton 500II. And honestly I'm haveing second doubts all together about vinyl Vs CD...
