Please help with pioneer cs-k531

I need help finding a sub woofer and mid range for these speakers. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you on advance for your help...Pioneer cs-k531

There is a hole in the woofer and the midrange has been siliconed...i figured if I could find the woofer maybe I could find the midrange too...I was moving stuff around and accidentally put the hole in the woofer
...they are my husband's and he was not happy...lol...so I really wanted to see if I could fix them.

What I'd do is remove the woofer and midrange (they should simply unscrew and then lift out) from the cabinets, and get the numbers off the magnets, then search eBay for those numbers and the word Pioneer. Pioneer would have used the same components in several different speaker systems, so searching on the speaker's model number is rarely helpful. Take care not to break the wires when you pull them out, and make a note of which wire attaches to which terminal.

Keep in mind that these aren't top-line speakers (they originally came as part of a rack system, which you may still have). Depending on what the used audio market is like on Craigslist in your area, your efforts might be better spent in getting your husband a replacement pair of speakers instead. If you find some ads that look promising, people on Audiokarma are always willing to give their opinions on speaker purchases.

If you don't find any right off, I'd set up a watched search to email you daily. You might also check completed items to see if they've come up recently. If not, you may have a long wait ahead.

Excellent suggestions, Swechler. I especially like your recommendation that Beth consider simply replacing the speakers with another option. Unless hubby is for some reason wedded to the Pioneers, there are better choices.

And that's not to say that the Pioneers are slobs or bad speakers. I've had speaks very similar to them, and for the average consumer they do the job. But introducing hubby to better speakers would be a very nice gift, and may launch him on a new hobby. It's certainly better than bar-hopping, isn't it?

Like everyone else said pioneer speakers that are like this are very hard to find. But another good place to search is on sites like etsy. Everyone here made way better suggestions than mine but it might be worth a try.
