I agree.. I've always been a big fan of Pioneer's table styling.. I got lucky when I found mine in the basement of a place I was renting and was told I could have it... I would be shopping for a nice Pioneer if I didn't have one.. I don't think you can find nicer looking tables for what they charged for pioneer tables during the good years..

Here are my two main tables, The Yamaha PX-2 with an Audio Technica AT31e LOMC and the Rega Planar 2 with a Signet TK5e MM. There is a Yamaha YP-B4 in the shop with a Stanton 681eee that I use to verify the phono stages of anything on the bench.

Nice tables guys. There are some real beauties out there in AK land. My tables represent the old and the new. I have a Dual 1249 that I bought new in 1975 with a Grado Prestige Blue cartridge that I bought in late December. My new table is a Music Hall mmf-5.1 with a Pro-ject 9 tonearm and Goldring 1012XE that I bought last fall. The Music Hall is high gloss piano black. It does not match the painted wall behind the TT as the reflection might have you think.

I replaced an old Audio-Technica with the Grado and I think it sounds better than the AT ever did. I haven't had any issues with it tracking. It's set-up at 1.5 grams stylus force. I have a concrete floor underneath the pad and carpet. I can jump up and down right in front of the table with no ill effects.

A PL12DII was my first table, I loved the sound it made too. Has a Shure M91ED on it.

This is my modest offering. A Philips 777 from the late 70's. It was purchased by my dad new and has been used sporadically since then, until now.

It is good for now but I am trying to upgrade to something else eventually (which in turn will likely lead to me upgrading my preamp from the cheap Behringer I am using now). Until then a new belt and cartridge will likely be added.

My main rig

I have a few vintage decks, mostly Thorens and Dual but this is definately my best sounding TT currently located in my primary 2-channel system.

Thorens "New-Line" TD-810
J.A. Michell weighted TP-250 tonearm (Thorens tweaked Rega 250)
Benz Micro Ace cartridge (blue)

then (via DIY 5N silver interconnects) pre-amped by a Bottlehead Seduction/Carver C-1 combo and then finally into a McShane'd Citation II power amp driving a pair of 1976 Klipsch LaScalas with DIY ALK universal (gentle slope) networks

TD126mkII with Rega RB300 arm, pushing an ancient 681eee almost as old as the dust on my daily driver turntable. I literally wore out the fragile Grace 707 arm and Dynavector ruby that was originally on it.

The 1946 Philco is my garage turntable project, and I do have the original changer that was in it prior starting this swap to a dual 1225
