QUESTION: which one ids your favorite?

Between the Pioneer PL-530, Luxman PD-272, and the Rega Planar 2 - the Rega wins with no contest. It has a Blue Point cartridge which is a high output MC vs. the Shure M97xe on the other two tables so a lot is a comparison of cartridges as well. It's also connected to a decent Cambridge Audio azur 540p preamp.

The Luxman is a nice looking table IMO and lives in the living room. No complaints about the sound from it. It's connected to a Hafler DH-101, 2 Eico HF-12 and a pair of Dynaco A-25s.

The Pioneer has recently been passed on to a friend.

Here's my main turntable. Linn LP-12 with Ittok arm and Grado Reference Sonata cartridge.

Sorry about the extraneous gear in the photo...I don't have a TT closeup.

There is a new addition to the family, a Rega P1. I'm just trying to decide where it should go... I have to be honest, I was a little disappointed in the construction at first. It looks kinda cheap, plastic hinges and the platter made out of wood. But damn does it sound good! :smoke: I'm noticing details I haven't heard before on my other tables. Even heard differences between a 30 year old copy of Hotel California & the cd, and like the LP... more depth and just sounds better.
