This is what I started on. Was bought for a dollar.
1982 Yamaha XZ550 Vision
Watercooled, 4 valves per cylinder, shaft driven. Was a blast to ride but the carbs were a pain and parts were near impossible to get.
After getting it finished after a working on it for a year and half it still didnt work quite right. My wanted to go for a ride on what we thought was a good running bike. After a quarter of a mile it died.
My wife got off of the bike and said " thats it we are getting you something else."
And the something else
