Potato Chips

Regular old Wise potato chips are the industry standard. I eat nothing else. You can keep Wise BBQ, Salt & Vinegar, coffee or sushi flavored if they make those, and just give me a bag of the regular old Wise "All Natural" salted potato chips.

The ones that are slightly burnt are pure heaven. Why can't they make a whole bag of those?

I think I saw a bag of either Utz or Herr's KETCHUP flavored chips the other day. Small bottle of ketchup and some saltines would probably be cheaper.

I always preferred Wise as far as regular potato chips go. But they are not available here on the left coast.

I'll have to stcik up for the Brits here. Been there twice, love all the flavors. Pickled Onion, Shrimp Cocktail, Smoky Bacon, Ketchup, Pork Sparerib, Roast Chicken. I've gotten bored with the chips here flavor-wise. No imagination. My wife and I drove around Scotland with the back seat full of crisp bags.

GEEz I loved the Guacamole chips. Can't find them anywhere, scarce as hens teeth! I love spicy Doritos too.

I don't have a favorite myself, I like lots of brands. Here's what I like to do.....

1 bag potato chips, 1 bag barbacue chips, 1 bag Fritos.....mix all three together in a big bowl and have with french onion dip.:thmbsp:

Lipton's onion soup and some sour cream make awfully good dip. :)

I'm trying to avoid stuff like this that has so much sodium though.

Damn, but I miss Taco Flavored Doritos! I haven't seen a bag in this Tri-State area in twenty years!

Doritos, after having, it seemed, a fairly stable lineup in my early years, now changes up their lineup maddeningly frequently - good luck getting attached to a Doritos flavor unless it's Nacho Cheese or Cool Ranch.

Anyway... Taco is back. It's (as far as I can remember) the same Taco they marketed twenty years ago. Now if they bring back Salsa Rio, well... I'm in.

Starting with the deliciously hearty flavor of Sweet Potato, we've added a savory blend of colorful spices. Delicate tones of cumin and cilantro, balanced with a distinctive accent of cayenne pepper, combine to entice the senses.

I like their mixed chips. All sweet potato ones is too much.

Zapp's Jalapeno and Mesquite BBQ are good, too.

Some of the chips I like
Costco: Kirkland Signature Kettle rippled (too much after awhile but have that well done, slightly burned taste).

I like anything kettle cooked

My personal favorites are the Kettle crinkle-cut chips from Costco in the big 1lb bags.

Cape Cod

but i'm biased.

Kettle cooked Jalapenos .... mmmmmm.

All of these are great chips but if I had to prioritize it would have to be in this order.

1. Zapps - most flavors (Best chips I've ever had, good flavor and incredibly crunchy!!!:drool:)

2. Miss Vickies- Jalapeno or Regular (A close second to Zapps.)

3. Kirkland brand from Costco. (Love these russet chips, although some are a little on the burnt side. How can you beat a two pound bag for $4, and they stay crunchy even if you leave the bag open. Wonder how they do that?:scratch2: I think these are made by "Kettle" brand chips.

4. Cape Cod's
