Pro-Ject upgrade

Gave myself an early Christmas present and upgraded my Pro-Ject Devut Carbon with the acrylic platter.

What are your early impressions?

Could just be placebo effect but sounds a little cleaner and a tighter sound.
Bass seems to be slightly enhanced.

Nice. Besides any sound quality improvements real or imagined, the one for-sure advantage will be the ability to add a moving coil cart if you so choose. I had a Carbon Debut for a few years and liked it overall, but when I installed a Dynavector cart on it, it was like magnet meeting refrigerator. Was interested in the acrylic platter but was nigh impossible to get in Japan.

Nice. A debut III was my present to me last year. An acrylic platter is tempting, but I think a cork mat will be the extent of my mods, not counting the heavier counter-weight to use my M97xe with SAS stylus.

I got rid of the felt mat and put on a cork one on original platter. The acrylic platter does not need a mat at all.
