Quick question, I'm seeing a total of 20uf of capacitance per bipolar group, how come you used only 2.2uf?

What type of paint did you use for the cover? RAL 7030?
I have another Sansui here with a pretty "beaten" top cover, and that paint you used looks nice, in contrast with front faceplate.

KSC945 is a EBC - The original 2SC945 is ECB - Did you cross the legs on the new 945? I cant tell from this photo above. Working on it now, I am holding off. Would rather not cross the legs.

I did something here - Fully rebuilt the power supply -

R05, R06, R15, and R16 are getting hot and smoking. Anyone see anything?

Edit -Replaced them with spare 100hm resistors, still get hot and smoke.

R05 smokes whens on DBT within a few seconds. TR01 must be getting too much current... Strange all four resistors get hot... Tough one.

Make sure none of the VD1212 replacements (you did replace them, right?) on the EQ board are shorting out against the one switch shaft. One of them is directly under the shaft in close proximity. That bit me once with the smoking resistor syndrome on the power board. :D
