Quaint Quips & Quotes!

You'd complain if you were hung with a new rope.
A day at a time, a step at a time.
I am running at mach six with my hair on fire.

What is the one about nailing jelly to a tree???
These are few recent one I have heard.

Also,
My 10 year old son tells me that I could "argue with a tree and win"
I sometimes say "I wish I was here" - My wife agrees too.

What about these...

If the answer is no:

Does a snake have elbows?
Can you stack BB's in the wind?

If the answer is yes:

Does a bear sh*t in the woods?
Does a cat have climbing gear?
Is the Pope a Catholic?

Don't f*ck with the bull if you don't want the horns.

Woof!
I tell my son sometimes, there is only one Bull Goose 'round here,
when he feels like bucking me (in a good son way). :D

I tell him, "you may have some size & strength on me, but I am cagey." :thmbsp:

Klassic one
Rome

"Well...will you look at what the cat dragged in"
"You look like something the dogs had under the porch"
"No guts...no glory"
"In for a penny, in for a pound"
"It'll stop on a dime and give a nickel change"

I just got my car tuned up and now it runs like a scalded dog!

Ahhh Beans!
Now this one has some nostalgia linked to it for me. Back in the 70s when I was a teenager, I had a friend that got a brand new 73 Chevelle SS.

It ran just like that sentiment, with a Craig 8-Track & a pair of Utah 6X9s in the deck. :thmbsp:

Wooooo Hooooo!

Klassic one,

Hi Mark!
Yea, these are some klassic ones for sure. I have not heard the jelly one, but I am sure someone will come along & comment. If I had a $1 for the rope one though.

Is your son planning to be a lawyer? :D

Sub!
The bear & pope ones will certainly end up in the Hall of Fame for quotes!
Indeed!

True Klassics,
Rome

"Well...will you look at what the cat dragged in"
This quote was cited in one of my All-time Favorite movies, "Blazing Saddles."
The scene was when Cleavon came into the jail after being with Madeline Kahn. Ole Gene Wilder uttered that timely sentiment. True Klassic comedy, indeed! :thmbsp:

"You look like something the dogs had under the porch"
"No guts...no glory"
"It'll stop on a dime and give a nickel change"

Hall fo Fame quotes there, EJ!

Does a bear sh*t in the woods?

In the words of my mother...

"If it were a snake it would have bit you."

In the words of my grandmother...

"She went to sh*t and the pigs ate her." (Farm life with an outhouse past the pig yard)

Funny stuff there, Sub!
Smokehouses, Water Wells, & Outhouses are in my blood.

When I'm doing something and someone makes a suggestion this is what I tell 'em:

Hey, I'm f*ckin' the dog, yer just holdin' him.

Here is one I heard one.
Question "What is the difference between God and __________(insert the name of least favorite, self righteous, arrogant, pig heade pric you know)?:
Answer "God doesn't think he is ___________!"Inser t pricsw name again.

Rome, my 10 year old will probably be a lawyer or some ther white collar guy. He stuns me with his questions sometimes. When he was six he asked how to buy a burger king - his comment "they makes lots of money and we should have one".
