Quartet Woofer Replacement

hi, thinking of this KLF20 to replace stock woofer as well but i have already Bob Crites crossover network, will this KLF20 not an issue with Bob Crites crossover? thanks

and can you let me know where i can buy that KLF20 woofer

or anyone have tried RF7 with their Quartet, can you share your experience?

Yes I realize this is an old thread - I am interested in modifying my Quartets by adding the KLF20 woofers - my concern is in the speakers impedance as the K-10-K is 4ohms and (I believe) the K-1056-K is 8 ohms (2 in parallel to give you 4 ohms). Will this not impact speaker performance in other ways?

Why don't you PM moray? He has been around a while and knows his stuff and posted his success doing what you ask about right above your post.

Great advice - and yes I did message Moray James on this topic - I will let him respond if he wishes but bottom line - he was aware of the impedance discrepancy and his findings on improved bass stand. Honestly, I can’t rationalize this theoretically - but I will give it the old ear test.

For what it is worth, I have been using FaitalPRO 10FE200 10" Professional Woofer 4 Ohm as a drop in replacement (in pairs) for my Quartets.
I think you will be pleasantly satisfied.
