Question about an Xbox controller

Someone gave us an old X-box without the controllers.Will an xbox 360 controller work with the old x-box?i

I'm 90% certain that the old xBox used wired controllers. Their connectors were proprietary. The wired controllers for the 360 use USB connectors.

Remote and wireless controllers available for the original xBox required a receiver dongle.

Nope 360 controllers will not work on the original Xbox. You can get new xbox controllers off ebay.

Walmart, ebay or Game Stop. Pick up Outlaw Golf and Castle Wolfenstein too, big fun.

Yeah, they won't work, the oriignal Xbox only used wired controllers on a special plug, and the 360 has a built-in wireless and two usb controller ports. However, the good thing is the original Xbox is worth about bubkis now, so a controller should be about $10-15.

the original Xbox was a pretty solid console, good fun...my favorite was Burnout 3 takedown and the first Halo...plenty of other titles though:yes:
