My dad was a big fan of Les Paul. One day, I shared some videos like this one with him. I won't forget the smile on his face. Thank you for that moment, Mr. Paul. May you RIP!

A "New Sound" is right! Growing up with that sound makes it difficult for many to imagine how revolutionary and visionary Les Paul was.

The story I'll always remember about Les Paul is when he called up Ampex and asked them to deliver two of their 4 track units to him because he planned on synching them together. They told him it couldn't be done, he told them he had some ideas and the rest is history.

I have some cool 78s and LPs by Les with some verrry interesting guitar effects on them. ;^)
