R2R Side Panels

Any body out there repair or know of anybody who repairs or replaces panels for Teac R2R ,,i don,t want to invest in the equipment to do it myself,,,thanks

What is wrong with the panels? If the veneer is chipping off that's not too hard to replace.

thanks i could proablly handle chipping ,,, but DHL dropped my teac 6300 on it head and busted up the cornor pretty bad ,, can,t see a way it could be fixed ,,man these deck are tanks even after the hit it still works like a charm and outside of the side panel the rest of the deck is chery

Try to get DHL to cover the cost of a pair for sale on ebay.

Hi Robert,

If the inside of the side panels is as flat as the outside (no wooden chassis brackets like in the four-sided AN series), then this might be just a matter of picking out a 4 foot piece of 5/8" by 8" stock and having a lumber yard make the cuts for you (one rip and two cross-cuts). My full-service yard charges a buck a cut. Some of the Home Improvement Warehouses offer the first one or two cuts free - used to, anyway.
Then all you need is a drill, sandpaper and a little finish.

The claim is in process now ,,i had the shipper sign off the claim and it,s being handled by me in minnesota this way i don,t have to fight the shipper for my money ,,,not a bad idea for other akers to try

Hi Mario ,,i,m going to take the panels to a yard by me and check it out,,,i don,t a saw ,,never needed one,have a drill and a dremel and a garage to do finishing and staining
