Random Thoughts or Whatever

At age 12, Glenn Gould wrote an operetta where in Act I the entire human population of the planet is wiped out and in Act II they are replaced by an advanced species of frog.

The time to grab property in Alaska is now: by the time I retire, the streets of Anchorage will be lined with palm trees and bidders.

We are talkin'" palm trees" as in plastic ones, are we not, Mys?

The "Bidders" relate to a certain auction TV series?

A prediction of "Joe" playing "Lynyrd" in the future.

And, the "Gould" reference deals with a certain area of Canada with your mention of the dangerous "frog" species?

SO, if some or any of the above carries any degree of Truth within...this makes you the Nouveaux Nostradamus?;)

If it comes down to the frogs o'er us, it'd be Glenn Gould, not I, who (@ age of 12) experienced the Nostradamus moment.

For the -- ahem -- record, I doubt JoeRo gonna get the Skynyrd gig. But hey, maybe the gig will go to Neil Young... and why not? Just about every other geetar player on the planet's done time w/ that band.

I'm standing by -- under? -- the prediction of "live" palms @ downtown Anchorage circa 2032.

And those "bidders"?

I can only hold my breath...so long, eh?

I can see a book coming outta this, mon ami!:D

"The cost of things today?

Saw in the "Things you don't see anymore" Forum..."hamburgers for 15 cents"!

A common price up here now is running around $15, for most restaurants.

So, in the next thirty years; $50, with fries (chips) another $10...$60?

So, a $120 for taking the SO out for a spin in the EV, and dropping by for a quick fast food fix, before tax!

Sound ridiculous? Well, it's right up there with the 15 cents burger of yesteryear.

Something to think about.
