@34dean , I just looked at a quickie YouTube video on the P1...

It does have the 3-hole tonearm head, so you are good there for easy alignment.

Apparently the RB110 tonearm does not have a vernier adjustment for tracking force, so you will need a scale as @DavidTT suggested.

The P1 I saw on the video did have the Rega Carbon cartridge. Don't know what to tell you about the wiring pin size as I mentioned above, like to think a Rega fits Rega, but that's really Audio Technica to Rega. I wanted to put my Rega Carbon cart on the new Planar P3 I traded my RP1 in on, but the dealer mentioned trouble with the pin size. Has anyone here had that problem?

The pin connectors on a Rega are in the shape of a flat bottom U, looking end on. If they are too loose, you can carefully squeeze the parallel sides slightly together at the top of the U to make them tighter with a very fine set of pliers, and if too tight you can open them slightly with a tiny flat blade. They are very delicate so during this operation never put any stress on the wire itself. I've done this on many many Regas both ways. I've also re-attached lots of clips to Regas which people have broken off during a DIY cartridge install, so I reiterate be gentle. This is never a show stopper, and you shouldn't use it as a reason to select one cartridge over another.

The Carbon is a really good stop gap cartridge, and I bet it will sound good on a Planar 3.

I pulled the trigger last weekend on the Hana SL. I enjoyed the Exact very much, but the Hana takes things to a higher and more exciting level. And while looks shouldn't matter, doesn't the table look quite pretty with the platter and feet?

Over the past month and a half I have replaced all my components except my speakers with all new Rega gear.

Rega Planar 8 with groovetrace upgrades and Aphete 3 cartridge
Rega Aria MK3 MM/MC phono stage
Rega Aethos Stereo Integrated Amplifier
and Dynaudio Special Forty's and Stand 20's

The sound and synergy are amazing I have about 50 hrs. min on everything and this is the best sound
I have ever heard in my home it blows me away every time I play a record.

I love my RP3 clone with an Acrylic plinth and Delrin platter and I'd like to build another. Anybody know where I can get a RP3/6 Union Jack Plinth? I like different.

It goes without saying that the stereo is awesome, but I really like that large carpet too.

How do your like your Hana? Did you find it needed the extra weight of those brass screws?

I had the Hana on a Thorens tonearm (TP-63 Schopper) of similar effective mass. After adding the knurled brass screws, the lower frequency response improved which
was a bit light before. I haven't tried the Hana without the brass screws on the Rega.

I just took delivery of a Fono MM MkIII to try with my Planar 6. I would love to try the Aria but it'll be a splurge purchase for me. Most recently I've tried a Darlington MP-7 (meh) and a Hagerman Cornet 3, so it'll be interesting to see how well the Fono performs. The Cornet 3 is lovely but I have to be VERY careful with placement to avoid hum with it, which is something I've experienced to some extent with every tube-based piece of gear I've ever tried. I'm hoping for solid performance and some sort of Rega 'synergy' with the Fono. We'll see. Surprisingly I don't see lots of reviews for the Fono MkIII out there.

EDIT: I got the Fono hooked into the system and right out of the box I like. My first thought was to be a little sad because I had been so happy with the Cornet 3 and felt as though it was a long-term keeper. I only bought the Fono because I found it on sale and took a flier. However, my first impression of the Fono is that it pairs extremely well with the P6 and integrated I'm using right now. More after I've listened for a week or so but man Rega voices their gear in ways that seem to match my preferences.

The next thing I see eyeballing is their Elex or Elicit integrateds...

I had the Fono MC, fantastic synergy (obviously) with the gear you have.
