replacement LED???

I need to replace the red "fm stereo" led on a Sansui G-7000...

The service manual list the part as SG-12C (red) LED

I don't know much about electronics...do LED's have voltage/wattage values?

Yes they have specific forward voltage and current, you can hook up a variety of leds, BUT need to adjust the resistor. http://led.linear1.org/1led.wiz

Hopefully it is the LED that is out and not the circuit that drives it.

Have you verified that there is DC voltage present on the input to the LED?
