Rob passed this morning at 3am. His suffering is over. I hope he finds the peace and meaning he wanted so much

Very much so. What an ugly disease. As others have said, glad that he no longer suffers.

Very sorry to hear of his passing. I've not been on AK a lot recently due to my own struggles, so wasn't aware his condition had deteriorated so much, though I had previously seen his post about being treated for throat cancer. At least his suffering is over, as it sounds like he had a difficult go of things there at the tail end.

Living alone is a rough gig when you have serious health problems, and it was tough reading about how he was found. We all need to try and do better at checking in on relatives and friends who are faced with similar circumstances, so that they don't end up going days (or longer) without aid.
