I purchased this that is 220V how can I convert to 120V? Can I do it internally?

Being able to change the voltage seems to depend what exact model of AU-D7 you have. However, there is a PCB inside the unit (numbered F-3223) which has connector pins which will allow changing the voltage. Some models are 240/220V only, there is a model which supports 100/120/220/240V, (and another which is 120V only).
I would not recommend changing the voltage yourself unless you have previous experience of this kind of operation, as incorrectly setting the voltage could result in serious damage to the transformer and other internal components.
Note also that you will need to change the mains fuse (F1) from 2A (for 220V operation) to 5A (for 120V operation).

I have not received it yet from the bay. And its not an overseas unit at least I dont think that it is. But on the back it has a 220V sticker but on the Sansui info plate on the back it shows all the options. 100/120/240/ volts 50/60Hz power 270 watts. So I hope I can do whats been mentioned.
Did you ask the seller? Also what kind of plug does it have? If it has an American plug then maybe it is already set for 120V. But the seller should be able to tell you for sure.

Yes the cord looks normal. Some sellers are just flippers so they are not going to have a clue or care about that!
