Sansui Eight Deluxe left channel bass is stronger than left

HELP HELP!!! Anyone know how to fix this? Eight Deluxe left channel's bass sounds a lot more stronger and deeper than right side.

some people will catch it before it hits the ground..

I have a Seven which has PITA pushbutton switches....

Now the first thing you may want to try before opening up is work the loudness switch back and forth several times, at least check if it is still "different" having loudness pushed in (=on).

A small chance but if it is the culprit it would be the only easy one.

Most likely it needs the electrolytic capacitors in the preamp and power amp replaced.

Have you switched the speakers yet, to see if the trouble follows the speaker?

Turn balance to the left, turn loudness off and on. Does it make a difference?
Do same with balance to right.

I would start by cleaning the controls.

The Eight and Eight Deluxe both use stepped attenuators for the tone controls. A dirty contact in one attenuator could give you this symptom. As Rob said, start with a good, through cleaning. This is a difficult reciver to work on. I don't remember what is involved to get to those attenuators. It may take some disassembly.

Like they say, it very likely dirty switches. You don't write if this suddenly happened or if you noticed after changing any inputs, settings or source. A little context always helps.

Put the balance in the bad channel and then work all relevant rotary and push switches repeatedly and listen for when and if any changes occur.

P.s Iam embarrassed to say but I once accused my Maranyz 2285B of doing this when it was simply one speaker booming away because of its location to a back and side wall (other speaker only had a backwall)

Did everything. Recapped all the caps found out it is in my preamp I have another donor eight deluxe so I'm just going to take the preamp from the donor instead of trying to trace the damn problem been stuck on this for 2 days came really close to just giving it a jake the snake pile driver!
