Not to hijack this thread, but I was wondering since the G-9000 & 8000 share a lot of the same parts, would these be the same relays needed in the G-8000?

Yes, the relays are the same in the G-8 and G-9.

I will need to replace mine. Do I buy a pair- one for each channel, or is it one self-contained unit?

Three relays...one for selecting Speaker A, one for Speaker B, and one for the headphones and LED's. If you never use Speaker B then you can simply replace the Speaker A relay.
