Sansui Model 3000

Anyone know what year they released the Model 3000, I can get one very cheap in working order, with a complete spare as well for like $30US...................

came out in '68, run ended in '71. The 3000 was rated @ 22wpc the 3000A (same years of production) was rated @ 45wpc.

I have a 3000 in non working condition that I hope to work on at some point. I've read they are nice but require modifications from factory condition to be stable. If you don't have the required info for the mod I can send it to you if you decide to buy them or I think they can be found here at audiokarma somewhere. I am curious about the performance of the 3000 since I have not heard mine, so if you do get them give a quick review of performance.

The 3000 has a great tuner, 4 gangs and very sensitive. It has separate power supplies for each channel, almost unheard of at that time. Sounds great!

Yes it is, and I get to travel this country a lot with my job so I get to enjoy all of it................
Just found out the 3000 that goes is actually a 3000A and the spare parts one is a 3000.........................awesome!! I am in.
They have a very interesting poweramp driver design, cant wait to get them so I can hear them..........I will post a review for the person who has one but hasnt heard it.............thanks guys
