Hyperion, In your opinion would I be able to substitute one of these Omron g5v-24v relays as replacement for the Hitachi L23 relay (Pioneer CT-9R Dolby Board) given the following attached pics as reference ?

I am not familiar with the 'Pioneer CT-9R' - but if you have a 24V DC relay to be replaced and the contacts will carry signal current only - the G5V series of relays are very good replacements for this kind of duty.
 
Started restoring a AU-11000A for a friend, it has relay LY2-0-US-DC24, I tried a MY2-02-DC24 however the holes on the board and relay are narrower/closer together and the MY2-2DC24 wont fit the traces does anyone know a replacement for this version of the LY2?

Has anyone found a replacement or mod to fit the AU-D5 and AU-D7 speaker relays? The original G2Z-222P-US has a footprint that would need an adapter to fit a modern Omron part.

Ebay seller still listing a pair of relays for about $43 US, plus shipping from Germany. I think I'll search out @Leestereo's solution and go that route. This is the first amp I've had with the G2Z-222P relays in it.
 
I bought some of these adaptors (without the relays - purchased them separately) and they work great. The price seems reasonable. It took a few weeks to arrive in the U.S.

Oh dear - that doesn't look at all familiar, (I think that text appears on the end of the relay - not the side) and there is no other writing on the relay? - can you provide pictures of the relay?

I have done some checking and the AU-X711 and AU-X911DG use the same protection board - so I think they use the same relays as below.

The substitute is G2RG-2A4-DC24 as suggested by @Hyperion

Thanks for the valuable info, the ones mounted in my unit don't seem to be the original relays, maybe the cause of it's output inbalance (I have yet to disassemble the source pot after several cleanings without effect).
