That's good to know. It would be interesting to see some actual impedance measurements of the stacked Advents. I did not have such luck driving my Revel F228Be's with Aegir mono-blocks. While the "sound quality" was very good , the Aegirs would "shut down" when presented with higher amplitude bass transients. The Revels drop to 3.42 Ohms at 98 Hz, so they can be a challenge. That being said- the Aegir in stereo mode drove the F228Be's without incident, but Aegir did sound a bit anemic driving the F228Be's. Schiit was aware of the impedance of the Revels before I bought the second Aegir. They came through on their end and provided a full refund when I returned the Aegir amps. I will say that I was sad to send them back, because they sounded very very good!
 
as others have been reporting schiit's equipment is a great bargin for the money
i have the modi dac that feeds a lohi equalizer and that feeds the magni 3 head phone amp this works great feeding my beyerdnamic dt770 phones.
i have the creek obh11amo and the pro-ject headbox se 2 and the schiit sounds
much better than both.
the schiit has more than enough power for what i need.
and best of all they are all made in the USA now i don't have to send the Chinese
communists any more money.

Any thoughts on stacking NLA and " the smaller Advent " speakers. That's what I have. They have different impedance though ,don't they?
 
I'm guessing most know the Vidar 2 is out with a healthy price increase... Although I don't believe there's any SQ improvements

I'm wondering if they have an Aegir 2 on the near horizon ?

I just stacked original smaller advents on the original larger and it sounds - quite amazing. I’m kind of annoyed that I spent a lot of money on Klipsch and Polk LSIMs when what I should have done was bought about six pairs of old Advents and made a wall. I freakin love them.

I just ordered a Jotunheim headphone amp and a Modius DAC. I already have a Lokius eq that is impressive.
Their stuff is so cool, and made in the USA. I am going to stack it next to my office monitor and go head-fi.
 
Hell, you're just a few miles from their location in Santa Clarita. Do they offer a way for local customers to pick up gear? Could make for a cool afternoon.
 
I have been to the Schiitr store once. They offer (streaming) gear demos thru headphones (yours or theirs), no sales there. Another room has speakers and amps, but I did not try that. It has a really cool vibe, and the dude working there was very friendly. No pressure, take your time in the demo room, and enjoy!
 
Well I decided to order the Jotunheim headphone amp, Bifrost DAC, and another Lokius EQ. All in black, as my hi-fi system in all in silver. This will be my head-fi mini system. I like the balanced XLR hookups with all 3 units. Plus I can plug my cans into the balanced 4-pin XLR plugin (or SE) on the front. I can pickup at the Schiitr store nearby.
 
I use to have a Modi DAC which I regret selling. Just recently aquire a Modi Uber and the Vali 2 with the PYST RCA cables. I have not tried it yet as of now. It would be soon.
 
I just got my desktop Schiit stack up and running. Streaming Tidal via ipad and ifi Zen Stream. I'm glad I sprung for this! Really is a superb listening experience! Bifrost 2 DAC/Lokius eq/Jotunheim amp. All with balanced XLR connects, Audioquest Cinnamon USB, ethernet, and power conditioner.

That’s a lot of Schiit ;)

I’m very happy with most of these products. The only issue I have is a noisy, buzzy wall wart (Mani).

Loki is terrific for tv and movies. I moved away from 5.1 and built a nice 2 channel system instead. The Loki gets me a fantastic center image for dialogue.
