Schiit Fans ?

I currently have a mani, saga+ and freya+. My amps are diy ICEpower class D. I'm very pleased with their performance. Another thing about Schiit is that on the resale market, used gear brings nearly retail prices.
 
I have a Schiit Lyr 2 tube headphone amp that I don't use all that often. It sounds fine after replacing the stock 6922s with some 7308s but it gets real hot after about an hour. The manual warns about the heat but it requires it sits on top of a cabinet to get enough air flow.
 
Not really a fan. Only have two pieces of Schiit. A Vali headphone amp, first model, and a Loki, very nice to have when breaking in a new cartridge. Good quality for the price. Small footprint. Just what I needed.

And I do like a company that doesn't take itself too seriously, while putting out good quality product. I work in electronics QC, and I can be a little picky. At times. Form, fit, function. Everything you need, nothing you don't, for the price. And they're affordable, for most. The products work, and they look good doing it( subjectively, of course).

Win/Win.
 
I've got a veritable pile of Schiit equipment. Sorry, even I'm sick of the Schiit jokes.

I've got a Saga with tube buffer that really blooms with a NOS tube. While the difference is subtle with the original Tung Sol I had, the imaging expands with the unmarked GE NOS tube my friend SWL3600 gifted to me. I bought the Saga to drive my DIY Pass Amp Camp Amp but was initially disappointed because the Saga doesn't have too much gain as a passive pre. I've since grown to love its crystalline purity and complete background silence. I always engage the tube buffer since it's running the tube regardless. IMO, the Saga with tube buffer is a steal.

I've also got 2 Modi 3 DACs and 3 Mani phono preamps. I bought a nice, well made LPS for one of Manis but realized the power supply cost more than the Mani. I only use the Manis for MM and haven't tried them with my DL-103 MC cartridge.

I'm aware that there are better DACs and phono preamps available but these are doing what they should and I bought a few B stock items to save even more $$$.

I like my Saga+ way more than I thought I would. It sounds great and does respond to tube rolling. Very transparent sound. Good build quality for the price.
 
I have several of their passive pre....sys.....no complaints. It does what it is designed to do and does it well enough. I know there are more exotic passive preamps to be had. But I have been content with the sys.
 
I have the Saga and the Modi Multibit. Didn't need balanced so Freya was out.
Using with a Class D Audio SDS 250. Heat was a factor in my smallish room so I wanted to try an amp that ran cooler.
In a different room now, so may try a Vidar.
I like the gear from Schiit. American made is a big deal to me. Been to the Schitr a couple of times. I was stunned how much of a difference in sound there was in DACs as you went up the ladder. Easy to tell the difference using headphones.
Don't see a Yiggy in my future, but maybe a Gungnir.

If you're down to Schlitz, it's because you've already drunk everything that actually TASTES like beer.
 
I have a Gungnir MB and a Saga S in use with a Goldmund power amp and Focal Electra speakers. I use the Saga in passive mode and have been very pleased for a couple of years now.
 
Got a Test drive with a Ragnarok 2 'Fully Loaded' tomorrow

I'm not crazy about the DAC but hope the MM phone is good

BTW-- the unit is for sell :cool:
