The new Canon mirrorless? Looks like a P&S...
Yes, I saw that this morning. I guess they're going to announce on Monday? Hope so. For me to want to buy it, it will have to have an APS-C size sensor and an EVF. An attachable EVF might be OK if it's high-quality. But the lack of buttons and knobs is a bit concerning. I'm just not interested in touch screen controls - they're great for this generation, but not for mine. I want manual controls without hunting through menus.
So far, the Samsung NX20 is still looking like my best choice - after the price drops a bit. And one review I read says the firmware is wonky and does odd stuff, buggy stuff. Not good. But still...best choice for me with old Canon glass and manual focus. We'll see....
I was hoping the Canon offering would have a little more manual options also. If you want another option check out the Fuji X-Pro 1. It has everything you have on the wish list. I may have to give one a try. I had Fuji P&S that worked well and the review on this camera is very good.
lately, partly as a test, partly on a dare and partly just because I can, I’ve been shooting almost all of my portrait sessions with the E-P3 and 45mm lens. The results are stunning.
