Show me your setup!

Nice. Like that lowboy furniture piece.
Thanks! It will be heavy on "Streamline Moderne" and mid-century when all is done. I'm literally cutting up and painting trim as I peruse this page. We have 8 century+ old doors we'll be refinishing and using as a "false" ceiling just below the rafters... My band now wants to use it as a rehearsal space. :) Here's the other end of the room, and a little older photo showing the ceiling (ten foot at the bottom of the trusses). It's become a bit of a furniture "dump" for now, but when it's done I'll get it arranged properly. The Turntables will remain where they are, but the main speakers will go below and beside the TV. With the ceiling shape, that's best for sound quality and projection.

I've wanted something like this since the 70's. Finally...it is taking a LOT of work. Still need to wire the main lighting to that switch with the wires hanging out. The current light you see (two 8 foot LED strips) is the same as what is in the attached shop. It's for when the room needs flooding in light.. I don't expect it to get used much when everything's done.

It's sort of an affliction of mine. I love the bakelite radios from the 30's and 40's.

Mike
I just have the one from the 20's or 30's that's wood. I like the bakelite ones best, though. Have you ever been to Nashville? One of the bars on Broadway has at least a hundred of them on both walls. In fact, I think I have some pictures. Gimme a sec...

Edit: Here you go:

Nice layout/setup, 63potiacgp (Mike).. :beerchug:

I`m assuming you have addressed, or are currently addressing any and all sonically (specifically lower frequencies) stimulated vibrational aspects of items and their possibly disturbing effects, as seen in your pictures, especially the wall mounted ones.. :dunno:, ;)
If so, then carry on, and ignore any suggestive noise from me and enjoy your new listening setup and room, Sir.

Sorry for the mess. Just made a picture as I am playing Neil Young live... Nothing really fancy on the picture. But it does the job.
Particularly fond of my speakers.
NAD pre-amp, NAD cassette deck, Douk H7 Pro amp, Philips cd recorder, dvd player and turntable, Sony cd changer, B&W Matrix 1 speakers.

From top to bottom

Adcom GFP-815 pre-amp. Slightly modified, cut traces and added wires to make two sets of "Main out" jacks.

Schitt Modi DAC. Bone stock.

Cambridge Audio AXC35 CDP. Bone stock.

Two Adcom GFA555 II's. Both modified with Hoppes Brain input boards and power supply sections. Custom copper bus bar. Bigger mains filter caps. Upgraded input and
speaker terminals.

What you can't see is a Dayton Audio DSP-408 DSP.

Those are AC Infinity Aircom S10 fans on top of each amp.

All stacked in a custom made rack from locally sourced Poisonwood.

The speakers were made by me using the Zaph Audio SB12.3 kit from Madisound.

Guys : I browsed the three pages of the topic, and notice that many of you finally do not have sooo large spaces to install their beloved system(s), surprisingly !

Well... I am in the same camp too, with my tiny , but dedicated and fortunately flawless sounding Auditorium ...

Changes ? Unsignificant...

- a lamp on my on Omega Ripole subwoofer...
- a streamer from EverSolo (DMP-A6)...
- less guitars, but still enough to "correct the acoustic" and for resting my legs...

Those speakers remind me of my mirage 750's but better lol. Very nice, I bet they sound amazing.

My most recent setup. although I did swap out my s3's for the smaller s2's with the p3's and I like the sound alot better, more controlled and clear. I find with the bigger s3s the bass is a bit much. H/K 75+ quad. My diy turntable is in need of a tonearm rewire so I'll swap that out at some point for my sony falcon ps-20fb not sure if I'll mount the shibata to it or not.
