Don't forget the STR-6120 and -6200F (I have debs on the -6200F). They are also of the same ilk. Well shielded internally, etc. I foolishly let that last -6200F go by for $105. :thumbsdn:

can´t read the printed nr. on the f-vets to little place
when you need any service manual try schaltungsdienst lange berlin (use goole) cost 9,90 euro
i believe it is push and pull so each 3 vfets in a row are the same one for positive wave the other 3 for negative because they are used in paralel
as i can see

so we have 3 2sk60 in a row and 3 2sj18 in a row
defenetly paralel so ist push and pull circuit

I'll edit the post this evening. None of the lit' I have, whether German, French or Japanese was ever clear on that. Strange.

In case you are interested and missed them, there is a Sony 6060F and a 6050 that showed up on Canuck Audio Mart in the last two days. Reasonable prices and located reasonably close to you in Dundas. The 6060F apparently has the walnut case.............

Add an alignment for $80 and maybe some recapping . Now, where can I get a case?

Well thanks Axel, your equipment is quite impressive as well to say the least!

The speakers have been playing for a while now, tweaking the crossover all the time to get that optimal sound. Still need to figure out the final looks before I start finishing them hopefully soon..unless I find a new more exciting speaker project before that

If like the ST-5000F/ST-5000FW then the FW will have an FET front-end and some differences in the IF strip. Results in slightly better published FM spec's. However, the F is so rare that I've never heard of them being compared side-by-side.
That's a great buy. If being shipped to you and Radio X (Flint, MI) is inbetween, you could have it drop shipped. I did with my ST-5000FW.
I just got a case from a fellow AKer. Post a wanted in AK and Audiogon classified ads. Make sure to put your e-mail in the body of the wanted ad at Audiogon or you'll get no responses.

the preamp ta-e86 is also very tasty with phono mm mc ,these things are not
to expensive 2ndhand but a real bargain
sony today is for me a bit disapointing
but i stay openminded there is good stuff from many brands

That leads me to a Sony TA-8650, indeed yes he has some cool things there, but not -as far as i can see- these very nice tae-86 or tc-k88.
