Scored a pair of SB-F2 speakers today! Condition is a bit rough but they function and were inexpensive.

I've read a bit about these speakers from the linear phase series and a frequent comment is 'they're heavy for their size'. No kidding! 3.3. kg/7.25 lb might not sound a lot but they're tiny (10" tall). Solid aluminium cases, decent drivers (horn tweeter btw), sound ok from a quick listen. Quite bright but not annoying. Looking forward to listening more, trying them with a subwoofer etc.

Picked up this little beauty from the Salvation Army this arvo $25nzd well spent I reckon. It is a bit dusty, but everything works. Technics SC-CH515A

Edit: there is a M223x cassette deck up in the system on the desk as well

The SB-F2 are very nice speakers indeed! I love the tiny badge on them. Yours need dusting on the cones it seems… ;)

I cannot say anymore that they're underrated, because people started noticing them. They are very sturdily built—I had no problems pushing mine to the limits with my SE-A3; they can easily handle 200W peak and also sound good at elevated volume levels.
A subwoofer could help them, but I found them to already be pleasant without it. It's just a different listening experience compared to my SB-10 that go crazy in terms of low ends.

I have their bigger brothers the SB-F3. They are great speakers considering their size!!!

I've been on a Technics buying spree here as of late. My current list:

SA-5160
SU-8011/SH-8010 combo
SA-5370
SA-600
SA-800A (dark gray face)
SH-8038

Had a few others in the past but those were sold off when I found nicer units to replace them. What I have currently are all in like-new condition (with the SA-800A possibly being new). With that said, I appreciate nice survivors and I don't think I could bring myself to part with any of them.

Here's the SA-800A with a fresh LED install.

Wow!

Nice 630. I've been trying to find a decent 630 or 631 for a while to go with my SA-303 but no luck. Envious.

NICE gear on this thread!

I had one of these from the very early 90's until about 1998.

SA GX-500

I'd definitely have another, in fact I wish I still had it.

Kind of odd setup- a parametric EQ and graphic display.

I always lusted after the "New Class A" stuff back in the very early 80's but could never afford it.
