Signature line character limit?

Tried to update my signature line it it keeps telling me "Too Many Characters", even with the existing signature which worked on the old system. Any way to add more stuff or am I SOL?

I deleted my old signature because it was out of date,but I can't create a new one,because I have the same problem,with too many characters.Do paid subscribers get bigger signatures?

Yes. 250 vs 150. Also line count limits, though I cannot call them up from memory, at this moment.
