Cueing question

Looks good! How long does it take the cueing to set down? I've been having trouble with mine (slow, even after cleaning the spring).

I have not really noticed. I will check it today. Remember HOW light the VTF is on these, 1.25 grams.

Nice find, I bought one new (early 80's) and was using until this week when I replaced it with an SL-1600MK2 (the one I couldn't afford when I bought the SL-Q300. I have never done anything to it other than a new cartridge 10 years ago and it is still going strong. It is the only piece left of my original setup. I think I will set it up to play my not so good records.

My SL-Q200

Mine was taking about 10 seconds, I cleaned the spring under the cueing bar, got it to go too fast (almost dropping the needle), but now it's gumming up again. Otherwise, it does run well, I've had it since 1983. What cartridge you running?

It is a ADC PSX-10? I think, sounds nice.

I have Audio Technica AT231LP and I will go back to it, seems a bit better than the Grado MG/Blue stylus I have on it now.

I repaired an SL-Q200 for someone. Its basically the same thing but semi-auto instead of full auto. It was a nice performer with a fresh stylus on its original AT cart. It was a little worse for the wear, having been ejected from it's shelf when a car hit the house but after a good cleaning it worked fine.

I like these because of their simplicity. Plug in a new cartridge and go!

No setting up anything.

Ditto! Got my SL-Q303 new (maybe 1980?) and still runs like a top. Bulletproof table, I fully expect it to outlive me

Those ADC induced magnet p-mounts are nice. I'm currently running a Digital Series IV with a PSX-40 stylus on my SL-M3.

Mine seems robust, except for the cueing mechanism. I have it near frequently open windows since new, might have corroded a bit.
