I have one of these. A great many P-mount turntables were made in the 80's that weren't much better than today's Ion or Crosley.

This is NOT one of them. These Technics tables were pretty darn good for plug-n-play.

A neighbor gave me one recently...I picked up an inexpensive AT cartridge for it and it works very well in a bedroom system. :D

I have one of these with a AT311 cart. also added a piece of electrical tape to the tone arm - tightens up the bass. Sounds pretty good.
