Wow,
Nice restoration job!
That 1700 sure looks simpler than the 1300.
I am going to have to keep my eyes open for one.

Thank you,
Its not done yet, have to repaint the plinth and lube the cuing dampner.
and some feet...?

Thanks,
John.:music::D

Cuing is done! Now it Floats down to the record surface.

Cool!

I am checking on the feet, are they the same as your model?

Thanks,
John.:music::D

Don't even know what they might have looked like.
They were removed entirely.:D

The feet on this are screwed into a white plastic piece that is adjusted.

The felt is missing on one, so I should be ok with a new felt or rubber pad.

Check VE for the SM and look at the feet.

Playing some Jazz... Sounds great with the AT3600.

Thanks,
John.:music::D

OK, I want to know how to make Gold Lettering? Decals? So if the plinth is painted Black I would have Gold lettering! Or Red with Gold lettering?

Thanks,
John.:music::D

Never having made the Waterslide type decals, I don't know but I can surmise that you're limited to the colors that your printer can produce. I guess that would let out gold or any metallic color. :(

Oh well...:scratch2:

I started sanding the platter, looks a lot better. Still matching some paint colors.

I'm going to have bookmark this thread. I have this table, fortunately mine was well cared for, but some of the technical stuff is worth investigating or doing.

Thanks for a great thread!

You are welcome. It is a Great TT. I am almost done with this one.

Need to spruce up the paint a bit.
Enjoy yours.

I L-O-V-E this thread! You are doing great. I think the dark gray or black color would be cool. My SL-2000 looks good in black. If you are creating your own decals you could make one "Modified 2010 by ...." and give your self an everlasting credit.

Thank You, Thank You... I wanted to go Gloss Black with Gold lettering decals. Trying to see if the decals can be made. Dark gray is good too.

Having fun as usual. How is your DP-300F Denon doing? Mine is on the side for now, I am testing a few others.

I had a SL-2000, all black, a while ago.

Thanks,
John.:music::D
