Thanks for the vote of confidence. I am using the tt and 45rpm with a small sand pad to start with. As it spins the surface layer is coming off. Later I will remove the platter and hit with the buffer.

It's a 1600MKII painted by member Scottrt.........
he does do one fine paint job I must say..........

I am going to Hardware store to check on paints today. Also storage to find the SL-1500 for platter.

Easiest would be match the original color, then clear on top, this would keep most of the decals.

The Gray looks nice, has a blueish tint.:scratch2:
