SLS Speakers with Planar ribbon drivers.

Picked these up today. They have Seas woofers and SLS ribbon mid/tweets.

The speaker model is HTR28R. They are oak but somebody painted them black.
Anybody own this brand?

Nope, they were made by SLS loudspeakers. Diy was my first thought when I bought them.

SLS mainly builds pro sound models. They build product for house sound use, and large scale line array's, for concerts. Supposed to be very good speakers! You did good!

They really do sound good. They image well and the bass is detailed. My only concern is I have to turn up the treble. These are not that old but do you think they need a recap?
