Some bastard snagged an Adcom GFA-555 off CL right before me today... $180... I'm so sad... everyone else selling one wants like $300+

That IC will fail in the control of the two output muting transistors and set them into a pemanent MUTE state. I simply removed the resistor in that control lead and got output.

The T-7 works perfectly except for not holding station memory. Tunes, palys, the motorized control works, etc. I probably called out the wrong IC or it's something I couldn't find.

I replaced the AA sorta sized NiCad battery with one I ordered from Mouser and still no joy, and shot it as much as I could with my lowly MM and fried brain cells. This is the only one I've given up on and thought it best to pass it on to someone more capable.

Located and pulled the trigger on a LC7200 microchip $12 from the UK shipped.

Glad it made it OK.

It is a sweet tuner. Love the light intensity change on the dial indicator when you lock on a station.

I find myself torn between the T-7 and the T-1, but then I haven't rolled in the recapped T-2 yet. :D

T-70 arrived today ...No issues..except for small scuff on top panel..Sounds good - locks in to all stations in this area, with a couple alligator leads as a antenna.Memory preselect work as it should...:scratch2: Wonder if it has a LC7200...:scratch2:..:D I guess its worth 3 packs of cigarettes...:D
