Would anyone have interest in me bringing for the sales table:

Empire 398 (all orig)
Rek-O-Kut K33h (all orig)
Teac A3340S (R2R)
Akai 4000DS (R2R)

Let me know because this will take some work to get down.

I'd like to check out the DAC. Sadly, I need to say no to R2R decks at the moment, too. I've got two back in NC that'll come out here soon.

I had to edit my stuff list above after I actually looked at it. It seems the older I get the worse my C.R.A.F.T. condition becomes :)

Thanks. The hard part was figuring out the run order. I ended up starting from lighter rock to the heavy to the Prog. This will hopefully correspond to the beer effect creating a more patient ear. Interspersed between the styles of rock are the Jazz cuts. Sort of a pallet cleanser but not so much to boar the non- jazz folks. Fingers crossed and yes please bring the KOB SACD.

Were you able to open the Altecs and get to the horn wiring to try the passives? If so, I can bring them too.

Foreshadow of what's to come. Only limited by your imagination.

Based on discussion today, I will include an additional jack on the back panel that will allow for the remote location of the speaker switching separate from the source switching. I will probably just use a "break when make" jack so that when the cord for the remote relays is plugged in, those in the cabinet are disabled.

I'll order the parts.

Man, what a good time had by all.

I wanted to say a big thank you to @David_NC for hosting and @elcoholic for for the agenda to keep us on track.

Many, many standout moments for me. @trackball02 had an amazing drumming vinyl that was incredible!
@elcoholic had a flamingo vinyl that was so wonderful. Incredible guitar on that. @toddalin had his Chartwell LS3/5A speakers and they blew me absolutly away. I could not believe how big they sounded and just stunning command. It was truly a treat listening to those. Also @BirdOnAWire for having me listen to his Fiio dac on balanced wire on Sony headphones. Man, that sounded amazing. Can’t recall the models of either.

I seem to continue to prefer vinyl over dac but some songs on dac shined. My Vanessa Fernandez vinyl is still the best source of anything I have ever heard. It is a masterful press. The artistry in instruments and vocals are mind boggling. All the musicians are a master at their craft and her voice pocket is like nothing I have ever heard.

Man, what a great time it was and a great group of guys too. No pretentiousness, just fun.

My kind of Saturday!!

... now, somebody post pics. I am sure David will get the ones I took on his camera later.
