While I agree that the drivers would be nice to part out if they sound good or have some intrinsic value, I'd suggest the cabinets may also be worth keeping IF they look presentable or could be made that way, and if they are reasonably well built, could be additionally braced, internal corners and joints re-inforced, and a new baffle easily made up.
If you can get the internal dimensions, one could easily fashion a very nice speaker copying a number of designs. For example, if the speaker has an internal volume of 4.5-6 cu. ft., then you could easily build a JBL 2235H based subwoofer or speaker system around that like the L300 / 4333 series, 4430, even the 4 way 4340-4344 in a lowboy configuration. If the speaker is 8 to 10 cu. ft. it could easily accommodate double JBL 2234/2235s ala JBL 4435 easily, or the 4350 type if you're really ambitious and have a lot of extra $$$ for the parts.
Otherwise, consider offering it for free to any BC Ak'ers.
