Time to add to this old thread. As previously mentioned Split Enz - True Colours album was laser etched.
The follow up single "One Step Ahead" was also laser etched.

Just washed today... Stone Temple Pilots "Tiny Music" MoV reissue in light blue marbled vinyl. Will probably fire this up shortly, as I listened to the mp3s at the gym this morning.

The at88e with ats12 stylus is not my standard listening cartridge, but it looks so slick on Owl City's Ocean Eyes.

NOT MINE! Just thought it was AWESOME and wanted to share...The rarest variant of The Rolling Stones’ “Let It Bleed” (London NPS-4, 1969) — a multi-colored vinyl pressing — is expected to bring $10,000+. The EX-condition pressing was a very exclusive offering originally intended for a select few executives of the London Records label. Heritage is aware of only one other copy having ever been offered.

Just saw this. Thanks for the info! :thmbsp:

I have a [very] small vinyl label, and a few years ago, I was making an album for a band called Rebreather (OH heavy stoner stuff). We attempted to do something that I don't think has ever been done (visually)... have a translucent label, so when you held it up to light, the A & B sides would form a picture- but a different pic, depending on which side you were looking at. Well, after many failed attempts, we scratched the idea and released a not-retail-friendly "Clear Album". It was clear vinyl, no label, and a clear jacket... no writing anywhere. Not what we wanted, but it was still pretty cool.
Hah, I just googled the album, and found a site selling it for $32! (I sold out a long time ago.)
