Tox I have a peavey CS-400 I can bring, 200wpc.
Do you still have those Altec 5158G I sold to Redboy, who then sold them to you? Depending on what cab tox has, they may fit. They were a full 16" if I remember, some older cabs may only fit the earlier drivers. I had them in my cabs, and they now have 416 8C, so they are the same size as those.
Paulc worked out a great passive crossover for my Altecs, Tox if you ever get Altec drivers you should copy it. Even better, you know. I have a set w/ Nice 828 cabs with Altec grills, 416 8C drivers, late model factory dampened 511B horns, 802 8G compression drivers and PaulC's crossovers. They sound marvelous! The crossovers were based on one from Parts Express, with better caps and resistors, and a zobel to correct the high frequency drop inherent in large compression drivers...too big for me to haul for demo....You could use these monsters.

I'm sure I can bring a few bottles! Any requests?
Wisconsin Cheese?
These are 828H cabinets, I don't know if early or late or what.
Re: crossovers, Jay loaned me those Redboy crossovers when I picked up the cabinets (they were Jay's). I have 511b horns but the drivers are not Altec, they're Renkus-Heinz, got em from dc270 with the horns. They are supposed to be linear into the high ranges unlike the original Altecs, so I figured out pretty quick that these Zilch-designed compensating crossovers were not the thing for the RH drivers. I gave em back and copied a simple 2d order Altec crossover at 1000 hz (18 uF and 2.5 mH I believe) with an L pad for the horn. Everyone says active crossover and biamping, but I just didn't have the amps sitting around so I haven't tried it yet. It's in my big shop building, not my main system so I haven't poured unlimited fundage into it. This would be a great opportunity to try biamping and maybe some different woofers.
I'm pretty sure it can I'll look at theThanks, come to think of it I just got a beastly QSC off Bartertown for a different system and I haven't even fired it up yet. Maybe I'll bring it. Can the Peavey handle a 4 ohm load?
I'm pretty sure it can I'll look at the
manual

Terry, do you need some more apple wood, and if so do you like chunks or chips? I ran twigs through my shredder so it's like apple mulch, or I have sticks 1/2"-1" diameter about 12" long or less. Let me know, I'll be glad to bring some.
Tox do you have cables for the Behringer?
Mine has xlr's.

Ooh, you know, I don't have XLR cables, and I haven't looked at that thing for awhile so I don't know for sure what it takes. I gotta get it out of storage.
BUT...the weather forecast is for 60% chance of rain Saturday in KC. :thumbsdn: Kinda wondering if we should be setting up gear of such magnitude outside on a day like that. Not like you can grab it and run inside if it rains... :scratch2:
