General concert or are they doing one of their albums? Let us know how they sound live and who plays with them. Did you know that Jeff (Skunk) Baxter who was their original lead guitarist (he played with the Doobie Brothers during their heyday too) is also a well-known defense consultant? Apparently, he testifies before Congress on defense issues all the time. When I read that, I almost fell off my chair. Some people have some pretty amazing hidden talents.

Enjoy the show!!

If you leave that show sober you will have done those of us that can't make it a terrible injustice. Enjoy! PM me or post a song list if you find the time.

I'm wrestling with breaking down & getting tix to see them @ the Minnesota State Fair. Exactly the WRONG place IMHO to see The Dan...but ya sometimes have to compromise. You're in for a great show...they're doing a tune that didn't make the cut for "Aja" this tour..."You Got The Bear". Outstanding musicians one & all...you'll particularly enjoy Walt's partner on guitar...Jon Herrington. He looks like he's about 17 and what a player.

No offence but my condolences. I bought their albums based on "audiophile values" and found them, musically, terrible. Granted, there is no accounting for taste, but outside of the quality of the recordings, I find their music banal, lacking, uninteresting. Strange that they are considered "audiophile approved" yet I guess not to all.

Understand this is just me, I am not trying to be a downer but despite the quality of their recordings the music does not grip me at all.

Diana Krall, Melody Gardot, Hall and Oates..... now we are getting somewhere.

I love their music and was sorry to have missed their 7/5/11 show in trhe Bay Area. Oh well , next time.

they were great! john herington on lead guitar and keith carlock on drums were terrific. i didn't write down the song list but hear goes from memory, aja, do it again. dirty work, hey 19, black friday, deacon blues, bodhisattva, peg, josie, reelin in the years, my old school, kid charlemange. they played for about 2 hours and 10 minutes, no breaks. i'm sure i left out a few of songs.

A fine group of musicians and a great show I am sure of. They do pride themsleves on tightness and fluidity. Now, do you know where the band name came from? :)

Hall and Oats? I think that explains it all.
